Course Outline

This 6.5-hour course offers an in-depth exploration of Fentanyl, it's dangers, and related topics such as milling labs, Fentanyl pills, trends, proper safety measures, and the deployment of Naloxone/Narcan. Additionally, it delves into methamphetamine, designer drugs, including opioids, stimulants, and the most current drug trends.


There will also be a 30-minute information block regarding the TruNarc Narcotics Analyzer (developed by ThermoFischer Scientific) during the catered lunch.


About the Presenter

Gil Van Attenhoven, a retired Senior Special Agent in Charge from the California Department of Justice, Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement, brings over 29 years of law enforcement experience. He currently provides drug training for various HIDTA Counterdrug programs and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento. Gil is a past president of the CA Narcotic Officers’ Association (CNOA) and a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Session 209.
